At the end of spring, while the main line of business - the sandwich panels supply showed a decline, we began to receive requests from customers for the restoration of destroyed buildings. Having a deep understanding and the possibility of reconstruction, we began to actively engage in this direction, which allowed Rauta to significantly increase the volume of construction work performed. This year we have already completed 7 reconstruction projects and 3 more are already planned for implementation in early 2023.

After a short break in the spring, our customers started to unfreeze projects, which ultimately allowed us to end the year with a 40% drop in sandwich panel sales, which is relatively good against a 70% drop in the overall panel market. At the same time, the increase in the volume of completed general contracting and installation works allows Rauta to end this year with a 7% increase in income compared to the previous year.

A short suspension of current projects at the beginning of the war allowed us to develop and implement two innovative solutions: the technology of installing frameless houses with sandwich panels and the construction of multi-story buildings with sandwich panels as external walls, which allows the developer to get up to 5% of additional area without increasing costs for implementation.
